Ancient Spanish Monastery

The monastery was brought from Spain to Miami during the twelfth century as part of the Abbey of Santa María La Real, it is located 16711 West Dixie Highway North Miami Beach, FL 33160.

Today it is used for the service of the Episcopal Church in the United States and at the same time as a tourist attraction.

Our advice:

The visit to the monastery lasts about 1 to 2 hours, or you can stay until sunset. You can watch the ornate vaulted ceilings in a Gothic style, plus every corner has its charm. There are gift shops where you can get your own memories of this visit. The monastery holds events such as weddings, church services, baptisms, first communions and others... you can request it in English or Spanish.

This museum is full of historically art and surrounded by beautiful gardens, it also offers merchandise such as crafts, antiques, clothing, jewelry and many more things which are high impact for visitors.

It is a place with a very attractive park and well maintained, where its story is told by the guides, in the tour you can see a variety of wildlife such as playful monkeys, majestic swans, waterfowl and suddenly an occasional mananti among others.

It has one of the best collections of orchids that exist in the United States.

Our Advice:

You can tour the island native barrier and go to its wetlands, forests and gardens.

The tour lasts approximately 1 to 2 hours where you can enjoy a guided walk through the fantastic gardens of the mansion and discover how lived the great landowners of that time.

If you want to buy art, you can do because the exhibits are for selling.

As recommendations you should not use cameras inside the museum, no large bags, backpacks, or tripods.

The museum is located 1 Whitehall Way, Palm Beach, FL 33480, United States. It was built during the golden age, leaving as a result work and fortune to those who were convinced able to develop technological advances; Flager has a library decorated in an Italian Renaissance style, music room and a central courtyard.

Something very striking of the museum is the dance room because of its decoration, which is designed in the Louis XV style.
