Coral Gables serves as a cultural and educational institution.

The museum's mission is to provide a program of exhibitions, collections, institutional offerings, conferences among other things.

The budget that manages the museum for the events that are held, are obtained through membership, private donations and government support.

You can share with your family the various conferences, and cultural events.

When you get to the museum, ask for the audio tour... Its very informative.

Downtown Coral Gables, including Miracle Mile, is one of the destinations most visited shopping centers in South Florida. Where you will find specialty stores, art galleries, boutiques, restaurants, a live theater and cultural attractions. Making it a glamorous boulevard and one of Miami’s favorite places. Mile (or "The Mile" as it is known locally) is an excellent place to stroll or sit under the palms and enjoy!. It is one of the favorite places to go shopping and find designer items, elegant shopping areas, art galleries, bars, high-quality restaurants and theaters, are located Coral Gables, at about 15 kilometers (nine miles) from downtown Miami.

Our advice:

While you walk the Mile’s 4 blocks, you can buy some freshly baked bagels or sit and enjoy a meal with international flavor.

At night, watch musical or dramatic theater, at the Actors' Playhouse from the historic Miracle Theatre.

Coral Gables Museum, on the first Friday of every month, the galleries along Ponce de Leon Boulevard extend their hours during Gallery Night.

Travel from Miami’s downtown to Coral Gables by Metrorail (elevated train) or Metrobus. The implementation of a free bus service, called the Coral Gables Trolley, means that the city is easy to explore if you do not have a car. This old-style bus passes by frequently and takes you to the "Miracle Mile".

This is a public swimming pool located in Downtown Coral Gables which initially was a quarry and became what it is today, a beautiful swimming pool surrounded by palm trees and waterfall, there is no single building in sight, the water comes from an underground aquifer, never chemical products are added to water, it is surrounded by original coral stones, there are caves and waterfalls, has an area of sand to avoid getting wet and other open for anything. There is a beach area for children connected to the main pool through an island and a stone bridge to keep beginners safely away from the depths swimmers, it is the ideal place to rest there is not a single building in all directions.

Our advice:

It is the ideal place to take children, is very popular and preferred by locals to celebrate birthdays and enjoy the special Saturdays, the pool facilities were rented for events throughout the year.

Visit the caves and waterfalls that are at the end of the pool.

You can bring your food, but note that no glass containers or coolers are allowed.

With the entrance fee can be removed and re-enter, so you can leave the facility for lunch and return to the arena.

In the bar of the place you can enjoy refreshments.

Take the opportunity to visit Miracle Mile in the same area of Downtown Coral Gables, is a street where cafes, boutiques, bookstores, bars and even a theater.

The rates for the Venetian Pool change per season, sometimes in low season is closed, but high will always be open, see the website.

It is a magnificent historic hotel in Coral Gables, is characterized by its fifteen tower floors that mimics the Giralda from Seville, the rooms are spacious and elegant, some with a beautiful view of a large pool where competitions are held and the beautiful garden behind the hotel is a golf camp, the restaurant and meals are very good with the best quality

 

Our advice:

You can admire the exhibition of old photographs since construction began 

The area where is located is very quiet, somewhat removed from the center or typical for shopping areas, but car rental is solved, there is also the option to request a transfer from the hotel to a small shopping center is in the area.

The attention is excellent, if you have any problem they will solve it immediately to satisfy their customers.

This Hotel has hosted royals and Hollywood stars, the famous gangster AlCapone as well. occupied the highest suite located in the tower, which remains untainted.  Now it is the most requested and the price is not available for cardiacs.

You can enjoy a sunny afternoon with your family and friends beside the pool or if you like sports, you have the option to play a good game of golf.
