Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park is home to a historic lighthouse built in 1825 and rebuilt in 1846, and is one of the oldest structures in Miami-Dade. Visitors come to the park for sunbathing, swimming and picnicking, is currently at # 7 on the list of "Top 10 beaches in America. Anglers can cast their lines from the boardwalk along the Biscayne bay, for some of the best shore fishing in the region. it offers guided lighthouse tours and the house of the lighthouse keeper's given twice a day, Monday through Thursday. the place has two restaurants, Lighthouse Café and Boater's Grill, which offer authentic Cuban cuisine, hikers can reserve a pavilion and fire their own grill.
